Lecture3 - Frame Analysis

Example (1): Revision: Draw Influence Line for a Load of (1unit)

 3rd Lecture:
– This lecture aims to familiarize you with the 2D modeling of Robot, and to use this basic understanding to Model and Analyze Different Types ofFrames. • Modeling a Simple Frame. • Modeling inclined frames. – Normal Loads – Inclined Loads – Projected Loads • Modeling Earth Pressure Loads.

• The Frame: – It’s a structure consisted of beams and columns that connect at Rigid Joints
• Rigid Joints: – They Are Joints that keep the angle between the frame members constant. – (They are somehow like Fixed Supports in resisting differential rotation, but the rigid joint can rotate or translate as a body)
